Ducati OmahaMy first contact with Ducati Omaha came in May of 2006 at Ducati Revs Mid-America. I was very impressed with their willingness to answer questions and generally help out in any way they could. I made many phone calls to Ducati Omaha over the next few months. Jeremy, the parts manager, amazed me with his knowledge of any thing that is used on a Ducati motorcycle. The wealth of knowledge that the entire staff of Ducati Omaha has is with out equal. My first visit to Ducati Omaha came in September of 2006. I was in need of a set of tires for my 1098. I was interested in the Bridgestone’s. Ducati Omaha had them in stock. I made the 3 hour trek from Kansas City to Omaha. Traffic was bad and I arrived late. I pulled right into the shop area through the back door. Kelly was waiting for me; in no time he had the stands under my bike and was busy with the tire change. I met Jeremy and Shun one of the owners. As I walked back through the shop area I noticed Jeremy cleaning the visor of a helmet. I did not give it much thought as it was getting close to 5 o’clock and I assumed he was getting ready to go home, as I got closer I thought “man he’s got a helmet just like mine” as it turned out Jeremy had noticed that there was 200 miles of bugs on my helmet so he was cleaning it off for me. I was a new customer so I thought he was trying to suck up. As I returned to the show room to look over the awesome display of bikes and apparel I was met by Shun. He replied, “What can I do for you?” I told him some coffee would be nice. No problem was his reply. By now I was beginning to think that they were putting on the customer service just a bit thick. I have been to many Ducati dealers across the US and never found this type of customer service. As I enjoyed my coffee Shun offered many other refreshments. We talked and he told me of the Ducati Omaha’s mission to exemplary customer service. You see, they speak of it on their web site. It has been my experience over many years that marketing talk is very cheap and often without meaning or substance. This is not the case with Ducati Omaha. I believe their customer service parallels that of the Ducati factory. The hospitality that the Ducati factory extends to its customers is marveled at by all the other manufacturers throughout the world. Ducati Omaha has found a way to bring that customer service to everyone they come in contact with. I have attended many of their events and these guys are for real. I have seen Jarel, Shun, Jeremy and Kelly stop what they where doing at a track day to help with the suspension tuning of a fellow Ducati rider. They are always saying “we are here to help, any way we can”. They actually live by those words. The things that attract me to Ducati Omaha are their concern for their customers and the fact that they are exclusive Ducati. You enter their show room and you find nothing but Ducati motorcycles, no dirt bikes, no jet ski’s, no ATV’s. Just Ducati’s. I found this to be VERY refreshing. In today’s economy there are not many brave enough to specialize. Ducati Omaha has done just that. For this I applaud them. |
